This Bulbous Redware Jug is 8-1/2 inches high and beautifully proportioned with a speckled reddish brown glaze, three incised lines around the collar and a ribbed handle.  Overall condition is very fine with only a small in- the-making potstone burst on the underside of the bulge that is mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Probably Safford, Monmouth, Maine.
