Redware Apple Butter Pots, Gonic, New Hampshire

With its classic "Gonic" coloration . . . Olive Green with Peach Halos, this little Apple Butter Pot is a fine example of the output of the Gonic, New Hampshire Pottery. From the rolled rim, the pot bulges slightly and then tapers down to the bottom, creating a very pleasing form.  Very fine condition
with only a small "fleabite" on the underside of the rim.  4 inches high and 3-3/4 inches in diameter.

This little Apple Butter Pot is slightly larger than the other, being 4 inches high and 4 inches in diameter and is slightly more bulbous.  It also is in very fine condition with two "flea bites" on the unglazed part of the bottom edge that are mentioned for the sake of accuracy. The glaze is nice and shiny and there is a bit more of the peach halo evident as seen above.
