Schoolgirl Watercolor Drawing of an Owl

Watercolor wash and ink on laid paper c. 1780 -1810. Probably Pennsylvania or Virginia. Charmingly naive with Birds, Butterflies, Flowers, and a wonderful Owl front and center. Signed on the reverse by Betsy Deer . . .

Sight size is 7-3/4 inches x 4-3/4 inches (9 inches x 6-1/4 inches overall).  Very fine condition.
