Miniature Portrait of Mary Anne Hyde. Unsigned, inscribed "Mary Anne Hyde/Taken February 1829/Two years & a half old" on the back of the image and on the backing board. She certainly looks older, but folk artists of the day many times rendered their subjects as older children.  Watercolor on paper, 8 1/4 x 9 3/4 inches overall in a molded ebonized frame with gilt liner.
Condition: Minor toning, light foxing.
