Decorated Treen Lidded Container

Presented here, a wonderful vinegar grain painted covered sugar bowl in mustard and reddish-brown paint.  It features several large leaf-type decorations on the bulbous body of the bowl reminding one of the "tobacco leaf" decorations on Mocha Ware.  The footed bowl has bowed sides and the foot and rim share a congruent style.  The domed lid was turned with canted outside circumference producing a stepped shoulder.  It has a turned finial and the inner lid-rim is fitted to the bowl.

Mentioned for the sake of accuracy, as expected with dry-thin-walled hollow treen, there is approximately a 2-inch long tight vertical fissure starting at the rim that doesn't detract.  There is also a small area of paint loss to the lid that blends well and does not compromise the aesthetic.
(Height 6.25" and diameter 6.5")
