Very fine small early to mid-19th century Treen Bowl in original red paint. H 3" D 7". Because of the size, the bowl was probably used as a serving or eating bowl rather than as a work bowl as the larger ones were. There is some minor discoloration due to the nature of the food it contained, more of a bleaching on the interior . . . mentioned simply for the sake of accuracy. Overall condition is excellent with a nice dry surface that shows minor wear mostly on the footed bottom as expected due to usage. This is a fabulous painted treen bowl.
