Sheep Butter Print

Presented here, a Butter Print quite RARE! While Prints with animal motifs are certainly less plentiful than those with floral or radial motifs, Sheep are practically never seen outside of museums and advanced private collections.

This is one big "Woolie" with a beautifully detailed "blocky" body. The detail on the face is exceptional and the leaves flanking the animal are nicely done as is the simple notched border that frames the piece. The print is 3-1/4" in diameter, slightly out of round from age shrinkage, and it is in super condition with no splits, cracks or discoloration. This is as good as they get!
