Very Special Free Blown and Cut Glass Lamp with hand pressed square "Rose Foot" Base.  Circa 1825-28.  This rare base was made for only a short time and early in pressed glass history according to Barlow & Kaiser (plate 2016), A Guide to Sandwich Glass.  A beautifully cut Flint font and blown stem completes this fine early Whale Oil Lamp made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company.  A real beauty!
