Tulip Butter or Cookie Print Presented here a very early Butter or Cookie Print. It is made of Pine with a somewhat natural tulip with a fanciful stem. On either side of the tulip is a geometric star design. In typical Pennsylvania Dutch fashion the piece is fully decorated and of course the Tulip is a favorite motif. This is an early piece, circa1750-1820 and is in quite good condition. There is a line about 1" long at the top and several insect hole on the back and some little bit of mouse nibbling, as they were wont to do on the bottom as can be seen in the picture.
