Decorated Leather Firebucket Signed "S. Sawyer, No1. and 1823" . . . Polychrome paint in shades of Red, Gold, Yellow, and Brown on a Windsor Green bucket with a red rim. Original leather handle is intact and in excellent condition as is the bucket with no breaks and only a slight "slump"to one side. Found in a Portland, Maine attic where it descended down through the family until recently coming on the market. Flourish decoration with Banner and name on the front.
