Hexagonal Weave Shaker Basket
 Presented here, a fine hexagonal weave basket with hexagonal base. The finely carved upright handle extends to the bottom of the basket. Single lashing around rim and re-enforced bottom. This is a beautifully made Shaker basket with a great mellow patina. Shows appropriate wear from age and usage. It has been used but not abused. The condition is very good with only one area where there is some minor loss at the handle extension. Because of the open weave of the basket one does not readily notice it. An uncommon form and a very pretty basket from a recently disbursed collection of baskets that had been assembled over a 45 year period and is fresh to the market. Most likely from the Mount Lebanon Shaker Community. The basket is 6-1/4" tall (11-1/2" tall to the top of the fixed handle) and 9 to 9-3/4" in diameter depending on where measured with the largest diameter being from handle to handle fastening. $785.00 R06E29845 Questions?
