Presented here, a very fine piece of early lighting . . . a Spiral (Helix) Candlestick, c. 1740-1820. These adjustable spiral-type candlesticks employ a simple handle (or chair back hook) at the top, and a lowerknob that slides along the spiraled opening to raise or lower the candle. The base is wood. Condition is excellent. 7-1/2" H.
