Federal Tiger Maple Windsor Screw-Top Candlestand
 

 Presented here, a wonderful Tiger Maple Adjustible Screwtop Windsor Candlestand in outstanding condition.  The legs, shaft and the crossbar all have very strong figure while the tigering on the dish top is not quite as strong.  This little stand is a fine example of this not so commonly found form. It stands 33" tall with a 15" splay to the legs while the dish is slightly less in diameter. The condition is excellent with no repairs or restoration but the surface most likely was "refurbished" sometime in the 19th Century.  The stand has a great, soft patina, a wonderful "honey" color and is a true survivor.
