Hand Wrought Double Crusie Trammel Light Presented here, a very RARE hand wrought iron grease lamp with adjustable height trammel. The double grease pans, which are oval in shape with a wick channel, can be adjusted from 23 inches to 34-1/2 inches in length in five increments along the finely forged back piece. This device can easily support a description of "Outstanding" in both concept and design. The rarity, and therefore the importance of this early lighting device cannot be overstated. Circa 1650-1750. The condition is excellent! A great addition to any fine collection of early lighting and not likely as a duplicate! Note that the back piece ends in a heart terminus. Wonderful!
