Rare Pair True Sheffield Chambersticks
 Wonderful and rare pair of "True Sheffield" Plate Chambersticks. Marks in the form of double-struck stars indicate the maker to be Matthew Boulton. The pair is in excellent condition, complete with bobeches, snuffers, and gadrooned embelishments. Gadrooning is a type of ornamental decoration which became popular in the late seventeenth century and continued in usage into the nineteenth century. The maker, Matthew Boulton, a renowned industrial innovator of Birmingham, England is one of the most well known makers of the popular Old Sheffield Plate. Rare to find a complete pair!
