Heart Trivet

This elegant small wrought iron double Heart Trivet supports the "Simplicity is the essence of good design" adage. Three stout square legs nicely worked and peened in round form enhance the simplicity of the piece.  The trivet stands 1-1/2" high and is 4-1/2" wide and 5-3/4" long. 

The elegance of the form is enhanced by the precision in the hearts' creation.  Certainly a work of love . . . likely a wedding gift.  Circa late 1600's or early 1700's.  A very special piece.
