 Hook Rack

This beauty is a hanging wall mounted utensil rack.  It would have been used near the hearth for hanging ladles, skimmers, forks and tasting spoons within easy reach of the cook as she prepared the family meals.  It is unusually fine in design with the double arched crest and ram's horn decorative element.  A "Best" in "Good, Better, Best".  Circa 1700-1750 or earlier.  Size is 7-1/2" wide x 9" high and the condition is excellent as is the patina.
