Pair of Watercolor Portraits
Presented here, a very fine pair of watercolor portraits of a man and his wife.  They are signed by the artist, T. G. Green and dated 1845.  The artist paid very special attention to details that infuses these charming, though somewhat formal watercolors with a "personality".   I especially like the little sprig of Forget Me Nots that the woman is holding in her hand.  Also, interesting to note is the fact that this couple appears to be sitting on the same sofa while the painting was being done.
The portraits are framed in period highly figured maple veneer frames, much lighter in color than appears in the picture.  Lovely!  Condition is excellent.
Size is 11-3/4" x 14-3/4".
