This extremely RARE Tin Two Tube Taper Candlemold is only a mere 4-7/8" tall.  Very delicate in appearance, it is a very special piece.  We have to admit we've not seen another!  The condition is very fine, as is the patina.  Both the top and the bottom are mirror images of each other, simply an inverted "dish".  Fully functional should one desire to make tapers or a stellar addition to a collection of candlemolds or early tin. 

These miniature candlemolds are scarce on the market and much sought after by collectors of candlemolds as well as tin. This particular mold was used to make those taper candles that fit into the holders on the Victorian Christmas Trees. 

The condition is excellent. The base is 3" in diameter as is the top.  After cleaning the residual wax off the top, I found there are some light scratch marks in the tin where some thug tried to remove the wax with a sharp object.  I guess he/she didn't have the sense to use hot water to melt the wax. ? ? ?
