Bullseye Spatter Mush Cup and Saucer

This is one of the perennial favorite patterns in the group known as Bullseye Spatter of which there are a number of variations. This particular pattern is called Basic Bullseye (B) and varies from Basic Bullseye (A) in the border pattern as well as the center "Bullseye". Shown is a 6-inch broad mush-and milk cup and its 8-1/4 inch saucer, in form all but indistinguishable from a soup dish. This ware dates from the latter part of the 19th Century.

This pattern was made in complete dinner sets, chocolate sets, tea sets, toilet sets, etc. in enormous quantities. This particular pattern sets a beautiful table with its bold decoration and vibrant color and is great fun to use even today. These great mush and milk cups that hold almost a pint are wonderful for serving chowder and chili! The condition is excellent.
