Pair of Folk Art Horse Carvings
Presented here are two wonderful Folk Art Carvings of Horses.  The detail in the carving as well as all the little details of the Saddle and Saddlebags as well as the mane and the tail are super.  The Tail is made of a twisted silk thread (such as found on some rug fringes) and the mane is made of the same, only cropped short.  The saddles and saddlebags are made of leather and very realistic looking.  One even seems to be hide covered.  They have a nice, alligatored surface attesting to the years.
While no longer perfect as there are some missing pieces on the saddles due to the leather drying and cracking, they still are deserving of notice and our forgiveness of their imperfections. They're just plain FUN!
