Ship Shadowbox

Presented here, a very fine 19th Century Ship Shadowbox with wonderful primitive detail.  The Diorama shows a combination steam/sail vessel with a steam powered tug alongside.  The sea is remarkably well done and the background is painted in oil.  The whole is framed in a mahogany shadowbox frame with a gold liner and is a very nice example of 19th Century Folk Art.  Circa 4th quarter 19th Century. Size is19" x 26-1/2".
