Double Handled Rolling Pin

Presented here, a fabulous Double Handled Maple Rolling Pin with superb decorative turnings. This is called a Draal-hus by the Pennsylvania Germans. One of the best we ve seen and we haven't seen many, because they are considered rare.

The handles extend into the vertical turnings and are then in turn thru pegged with black walnut. It is as tight today as the day it was made.

The holes for the handle are also capped with black walnut giving a nice decorative element as well as good contrast with the honey colored maple. A rarely beautiful wall enhancer, a happy pastry creator's aid and a serious Treen Collector s DREAM!
