Hand Wrought Iron Rush Light/Candleholder Presented here, a premium quality hand forged wrought iron Rush Light with Candleholder, circa 1700's. One rarely sees a tripod base as usually they are mounted on a wood block or turned base. Actually, I'm thinking that the blacksmith had a sense of humor as the base looks like a ladies leg! This came from a fine Massachusetts collection of early lighting. The blacksmith's work is excellent in design, precision and skill and the conditon is excellent. Height is 8-1/2". A rare form!
